Forming an LLC in the USA with Northwest
You can form a new LLC in the United States with Northwest by following the steps below.
The steps in this guide involve forming an LLC in the state of Wyoming, but if you want to form an LLC in a different state, the process is very similar. If you want to form an LLC in a State other than Wyoming, simply change the State selection and continue.
First, access the Northwest Registered Agent website from this private link and click the “FORM YOUR LLC” button on the home page.

Where do you want to form your LLC? You can select the state in which your company will be established.
In this guide, we choose Wyoming because we are creating an LLC in the state of Wyoming. Change this field if you want to form an LLC in a different state. The state of New Mexico, for example, is fairly affordable, and New Mexico LLCs do not have annual report payments.
After completing the state selection, click Continue to proceed to the next step.
Here you can specify the company name and company mailing address. You can enter a few words of description text about your business in the “Business Purpose” section. Open the Wyoming state portal here when determining your LLC name. The LLC name you specify must not have been used before.
Each state’s website has an online name checker.
You can also search for it on google. For example, for New Mexico LLC name search, type:

If your business is for general use, you can choose Use Generic Business Purpose.
After determining the company name, you can scroll down the page and proceed to the address scheme.
At this stage, you can determine the physical address and mailing address of your business.
If you don’t have a special address, leave the “Physical Address” and “Mailing Address” options as they are. Because Northwest lets you use their own addresses for free.
You can proceed to the next step with Continue.
In this tab, we choose “Member Managed” as the Management Type because you will manage the company. If a manager is going to manage the company then you will need to select the Manager Managed option and you will need to provide the information of the manager you will appoint.
If you are going to form a single-member LLC, select 1 as the number of members.
Leave “Our Registered Address” as the address, click “CONTINUE” and go to the next step
On the Account tab, set an email address and a password to access the Northwest panel, then proceed to the next step.
In the Contact tab, enter your full address in the country you are in in the correct format.
Enter your mobile phone
Click “CONTINUE” to go to the next step
In the next step, switch to the “Optional Items” tab.
Extra services are charged extra. For example, EIN, virtual office or Apostille service.
These additional services are optional, you can choose according to your budget. If you don’t want to buy additional services, they still form your company correctly.
To continue, you can click the “Continue” button and proceed to the payment step.
In this step, you will see the total amount you have to pay on the right. Let’s have a look at this;
• Filing service fee: $39
• $100 filing fee payable to the state of Wyoming
• Annual Registered Agent fee (including business address) $0
Total amount you have to pay to form a Wyoming LLC: $139
You can enter your billing address by selecting “Credit Card Address Different From Mailing Address”.
You can place your LLC setup order by paying the total cost with your credit card.
You must pay a $125 registered agent fee in subsequent years to keep your LLC in good standing. Northwest will send you a reminder about this by e-mail.
